Dahme Lake District, Oder-Spree Lake District, Berlin-Oder Bypass
The landscape and the waters of the Dahme & Spree to the south-east of Berlin are characterized by lakes. Most of them are elongated and merge into one another without the usual channel connections. The Dahme flows into the Spree in Köpenick.
If you turn off here and follow the Dahme against the moderate current, you can feel with every meter how Berlin slowly disappears in its wake and nature becomes the dominant force. This tranquillity close to the capital can sometimes even be experienced as a skipper without a boating license.
