The route can be sailed in both directions and is around 50 kilometers long, depending on which lake you want to sail through during your trip. The Upper Havel Waterway takes you past Canow, the Rheinsberg waters and Mirow.

A detour into the waters of Lychen

Ideally, we recommend a two-day detour for the waters of Lychen. After a self-service lock and a large lake, the crew drives the houseboat through the middle of the forest. In wild twists and turns, you follow the narrow course of the Woblitz (which is easy to cycle at a slow pace) to the Großer Lychensee. Here you can anchor in many places or moor at one of the harbors. However, a waterway also leads directly into the old rafting town into the town lake with a small harbor. Lychen’s narrow streets invite you to stroll around, but a trip on a dinghy without a motor into the town’s quiet canals and side lakes is also worthwhile. You can also start a country tour here with the bicycle trolley to Fürstenberg.
